Say No to Drugs Workshop
Red Cross First Aid Workshop.
We had a visit from Gary and Keith from the Red Cross. They talked us through the importance of doing first aid and how to give someone CPR.
The word aid means help, so the main thing we learnt was how to help when someone takes ill.
The first thing you need to do is ring 999 and speak to the emergency services who will talk you through what to do.
There are 2 apps that can be downloaded onto your phone and we would encourage all parents to download them as you never know when you might need them.
Smokebusters Workshop.
The Primary 6s had an online workshop with Judith from Smokebusters, where she talked about the addictive nature of smoking and vaping. She encouraged us to exercise our will power and just say ‘no!’ to the temptation to start smoking and vaping.
